Banchory
Bonfire
Night
Returns!
By Julian Cheatle
A towering bonfire, thousands of sparkling
lights in the night sky, and the hum of
families sharing hot food and laughter… it
can only mean one thing: Banchory Bonfire
Night is back.
Taking place on Saturday, November 1st,
this flagship community event is expected
to draw more than 5,000 people to the
heart of Banchory for an evening of
celebration - all in support of local causes.
Organised by volunteers from the Banchory
and District Round Table, it’s a night where
fun meets fundraising, with all proceeds
going straight back into local charities,
clubs, and causes.
The bonfire will be lit at 6:30pm,
followed by a dazzling fireworks
display at 7:00pm. Visitors can enjoy
hot food stalls, music, and glowing
toys for the kids.
Round Table chairman Cameron
Berry says the event is more
than just entertainment:
“This night has
become a real
tradition for
Banchory. The support we
get from the community is
phenomenal, and the money
raised makes a genuine
difference for local groups
throughout the year.”
